Guests will park in the driveway and enter through the side gate, leading to the private ground-level suite at the back of the property.
Upon booking, you’ll receive detailed check-in instructions, including a personalized access code for seamless entry. Enjoy a smooth, hassle-free arrival and settle into your Outer Banks retreat with ease!

Welcome to the ‘Love Shack,’ a serene escape in the gated First Flight Ridge community of Kitty Hawk. This private ground-level apartment is perfect for guests seeking a peaceful retreat with easy access to both the sound and the ocean.
🌅 Unbeatable Location & Sunset Views
Nestled near Kitty Hawk Bay, this home offers access to a scenic sound-front walking path—perfect for morning strolls or sunset views over the water. When you’re ready for the beach, it’s just a 4-minute drive (1.2 miles) to Lillian Street Beach Access or Kitty Hawk Bath House, where you’ll find convenient parking and direct ocean access.
🌾 Waivo Damage Protection – Peace of Mind for Your Stay 🌾
Instead of a security deposit, we’ve added a non-refundable $75 Waivo Damage Protection Fee under the Management Fee. This covers minor accidental damages, so you won’t be charged for small mishaps like spills or broken items.
For damages over $3,000, we will work with the guest to resolve the issue, including legal action if necessary. Enjoy your stay worry-free! Let us know if you have any questions.

When you’re not at the beach, cool off in the pool or rinse off in the outdoor shower after a day of sun and sand. The pool and backyard are common areas and may be shared if we are home.

Our stay was perfect! The location is along the sound, walking distance to a dock and bike path. The rental is gorgeous! We felt spoiled with big fluffy towels, a gorgeous kitchen and luxurious bedroom. We felt well taken care of! The pool was fantastic. We’d love to return next summer!

Nice decor, super soft towels, access to the sound-side, clean pool, COLD A/C in the midst of a heat advisory, and good coffee!! Conveniently located near some great breakfast and dinner option. Made for a perfect long weekend!
